Redbox says that they are always looking for people to join their team so if you are looking for work, maybe this is the place for you. If you’re wondering how to get a job at Redbox, here is all you need to know:
First, you will need to go to Redbox.com and scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see an “about us” column. Under that column, select “careers.” (Or you can simply click here: http://www.redbox.com/careers) From here you will have a choice of a couple options. If you have an idea of what type of job you are looking for at Redbox, you can search for jobs directly in the “search for job tabs.” You also have the option of clicking on the “Join Our Talent Network” that is highlighted in blue within the text. This link will send you to the Outerwall Inc. website (Outerwall is the company that owns Redbox as you know from reading “how to get a Redbox franchise”).
On Outerwall’s website, you will need to fill out a quick questionnaire in order to utilize the job search below. The questionnaire asks for an email, password, phone number, current employer, current title, and lastly, gives you an option to express your interest in three ways: passive interest; just starting to look; actively looking, but employed; available immediately. Don’t worry, you will not look desperate if put “available immediately.” This is often a plus for employers. After you fill out these boxes, you can then search the type of job you are looking for with keywords such as sales, marketing, etc. You can search by location and frequency, i.e. how recent the job was posted. A third option from the Redbox site is to type your email into the “Join Our Talent Network” box and click continue, but this actually leads you to the same process as describes directly above. It is just another way to get to the profile questionnaire.
Some recent jobs posted by Outerwall Inc. include: Field Support Representative I, Content Coordinator, Director or Product and Strategy Management, Field Technician, Machine Support Technician, etc. You can find out which jobs have been recently posted by typing “any” into the “Search for Jobs” box described above and then clicking the “search jobs” tab. This will lead to a results page that claims there are no results for your search but if you scroll down you will see a list of Redbox’s most recently posted jobs. Or you can simply click here: http://jobs.outerwall.com/search/?q=&utm_source=CSSearchWidget&startrow=1
Once you click on a job title, you will be directed to a page describing that job. On that page you will also see a tab, “apply now.” You will need to click on the “apply now” on that page to start the application process for that particular job. This tab will open up three different options. The first two options (“start apply with LinkedIn” and “start apply with Facebook”) are simply methods by which to register your information prior to starting the application. It may be easier to click on the third option, “Apply now” to enter you profile information quickly. Entering this initial information registers you for a more detailed applicant profile account in which you can upload your resume, cover letter or other documents. This is where you will find the application for the job you want. Simply fill in what country and zip code you in which you are located and click “Next.” This link opens up the Redbox application. The actual application is not too long or complicated. In fact there are only six initital requirements: indicating your first name, last name, phone number, email address, how you heard about the opportunity, and lastly, uploading your resume. You will find a few additional requirements such as listing availability and education level towards the end of the application. Other than that, the application simply provides a space to volunteer information such as race identification, veteran status, or whether you have a disability you want to disclose. These sections are optional. After you fill out this information, you simply click “Apply” at the bottom of the page. Of course you can always save your answers and come back to fill the Redbox application later if this works better for you. I like to take my time with job applications generally. Well, that’s about it. Good luck!
